I have been blessed to have had the opportunity to do the things I have done, to have visited the places I have went to. Like many others I try to take pictures of where I have been and what I have done but I don’t always get the pictures I want.

In this life it is easy to become selfish. We do have to think about ourselves fairly often – what we will eat, what we will wear, where we will live, who will be our friends, what job/career we will have, what hobbies or interests we will pursue.

I remember going to the county fair one year when I was about ten or eleven. We didn’t have the means to go very often but the first year the Gravitron came to town I was there. After eating a corn dog my mom suggested I ride the Gravitron.

Language and literature can be a beautiful thing. It can evoke happiness and joy, it can provide encouragement and resolve, it can soothe heartache and provide words when one cannot find the words. There is a mighty power in words and when used wisely they can transform us.

The other day a friend sent me a video about an elevator marathon. While it wasn’t as funny as other things they have done it was still enjoyable to watch simply because it was people having good fun. And I like that, I enjoy seeing others enjoying themselves. I like hearing others laugh…
