It’s day 50 of the Spanish guitar challenge. What happened to day 45 you may ask – that’s a question I am asking myself. We all know that time flies and can get away from us if we are not careful. But what we don’t always see is how unanticipated issues can cause us to lose a sense of time. That is the case here, an anticipated back issue caused me to lose my sense of time.

I am unsure what happened but a couple of weeks ago, whether I either sat wrong, slept wrong or something else, my back started hurting. I have tried to practice the guitar a few time but within 3 minutes of practicing my back would be highly irritated. I have been taking it easy, or at least trying to, and I am almost to where I can practice again. That is welcome news.

It seems like things keep coming up, obstacles keep moving in the way. I have gotten sick twice, I have had back issues, even looking to attend a meeting to prep for the third challenge I had a flat tire that kept me from attending. I wondered what is going on – do I just have bad luck or am I using these obstacles as excuses for not pursuing the challenges as well as I could. I didn’t let sickness stop me from pursing the gluten free challenge and while illness has delayed the Spanish guitar challenge I am not stopping.

Sometimes life gets in the way, and more in the way with one pursuit than another. I am going to fail, we are going to fail. It’s not the failing that shows who we are but our willingness to continue on after the failing. I may not have completed the first two challenges without obstacles, and I am sure I won’t complete any other challenge without obstacles. It’s what we do afterwards that defines us. Let’s not quit but push on. I am going to push on with the Spanish guitar tonight, push on with your pursuit as well. We got this!

Attempt it. Chance it. Try it. Get to It![/cs_text][x_custom_headline level=”h2″ looks_like=”h3″ accent=”false” class=”cs-ta-center”]Helpful Links[/x_custom_headline][/cs_column][/cs_row][/cs_section][cs_section parallax=”false” separator_top_type=”none” separator_top_height=”50px” separator_top_angle_point=”50″ separator_bottom_type=”none” separator_bottom_height=”50px” separator_bottom_angle_point=”50″ style=”margin: 0px;padding: 0px;”][cs_row inner_container=”true” marginless_columns=”false” style=”margin: 0px auto;padding: 0px;”][cs_column fade=”false” fade_animation=”in” fade_animation_offset=”45px” fade_duration=”750″ type=”1/2″ style=”padding: 0px;”][x_video_embed no_container=”false” type=”16:9″][/x_video_embed][cs_text class=”cs-ta-center”]
