Learning to Walk on Water

I love science. From the rudimentary to the most complex it’s all fascinating. What I really enjoy are those things that can be explained scientifically but stiff baffle. Take for instance cornstarch and water. A very simple combination but it creates something that is neither a complete liquid nor complete solid. You can run across it without sinking but you will sink if you just stand on it. Take a look at the below video.

Life is similar to cornstarch and water. We all lose motivation at some point. Even the most optimistic person will lose motivation every once in a while. It’s simply part of being human. No one person can ever continuously fly high emotionally, especially when obstacles and disappointments come (and they do). The trick is while the motivation may be low to keep moving until that motivation kicks back in, otherwise you will sink.

I’ve noticed that for myself the motivation comes back quicker and stronger if I continue to do what I set out to do during those times of low motivation. It’s important to keep moving during those low times lest you sink. And like the cornstarch you can get out after having sunk but getting that motivation after you have stopped is much harder. So when you have those times of low motivation don’t stop. Much like being on cornstarch and water, if you keep moving you can stay on top and learn to walk on water.

Attempt it. Chance it. Try it. Get to It!
